U.S. Coast Guard LORAN Tower Restoration
BASE Painters restored five 700-foot WWII-era LORAN towers for the U.S. Coast Guard using rope-access tower painting. Silver Legacy Dome Restoration
When the Silver Legacy Dome began to fade, traditional contractors walked away. The 180-foot-wide structure sits above active hotel towers with no way to stage lifts or scaffolding. BASE engineered a full rope-access solution, washing, priming, and coating more than 76,000 sq ft of fiberglass without shutting down the casino below—an award-winning dome restoration completed entirely on rope.

Roller Coaster Painting Project: SeaWorld Steel Eel Restoration
BASE Painters completed a high-access Roller Coaster Painting project on SeaWorld’s Steel Eel, restoring the 150-foot chain lift hill and upper steel sections that lifts could not reach. Using industrial rope-access systems, the crew performed surface prep, corrosion removal, and applied a PPG PSX 700 urethane coating for long-term durability. The project finished ahead of schedule with zero safety incidents.

Recently we were in Pueblo Colorado donating our time to repainting the state’s last standing Airway Beacon . History In the early days before Foreflight and GPS, beacons were used as a guide to pilots during the night. Each beacon stood atop a 70′ concrete arrow pointing the pilots to the next station.
